Hoka is here to redefine the concept of a running shoe and to inspire and motivate runners of all levels! Its co-founders, Jean-Luc Diard and Nicolas Mermoud, were inspired by the signature design of their shoes by seeking to solve a fundamentally simple problem, optimizing the performance of runners on downhill sections in endurance races. Thus, they designed, initially for personal use, their first running shoes by constantly modifying the key points of the shoe, specifically the midsole and outsole as well as the upper. Their goals? Firstly, excellent cushioning and a stable footing on uneven terrain, elements important for the most daring trail runners and secondly, the reduction of the overall weight of the shoe to give wings to their feet. Now, Hoka One One is widely recognized and loved not only for the oversized soles of its shoes but also for the inspiration it gives to road, trail and endurance runners to continue their efforts. In addition to running and walking shoes, Hoka now designs clothing, accessories and equipment that strengthen the will of every person who wants to start or continue moving towards the top.
